Today, I would like to share a bit of our history with you as to how we have come to be in Lautoka.

In 1983, Youth With A Mission, our parent organization established itself in Nadi, Fiji with a mandate to reach the people of Fiji through mercy ministries, evangelism and training.  Youth With A Mission’s motto is to “know God and make Him known”.  We do this by sharing the whole Gospel to whole person, body, soul and spirit.

Youth With A Mission is an international movement of Christians from many denominations, dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation.  YWAM exists in 128 countries and have an international staff of 18,000.  All full-time workers of Youth With A Mission are volunteers dedicating their lives and resources to the fulfillment of the vision.  All of these staff volunteers are responsible to raise their own financial support.

In the last 24 years, Youth With A Mission Fiji has trained and discipled hundreds of young people, who have taken key leadership positions in different communities here in Fiji and abroad.

YWAM Fiji has had many lasting influences in the nation of Fiji.

• Instructing people of all ages, races, and backgrounds in the value system of a life committed to God and the community.
• Maintaining a positive influence for change by committed people living and working within Fiji’s communities and churches.
• Through hosting teams from overseas which has contributed financially to the nation of Fiji.
• Have sent many young people abroad for further training, returning to Fiji equipped and productive.

Currently YWAM has six existing ministries namely, Marine Reach, Vunayasi, Impact World Tour, Shikinah boat ministry, Outdoor Pursuit Ministry and our own Personal Transformation Centre

Personal Transformation Centre was officially opened in Lautoka, Fiji on the 4^th of November 2006.  Presently, with a staff of 11, we have developed community based programmes to assist our neighbors and friends in practical, educational, and vocational needs.

Isaiah 61:1-4 has been our mandate to reach out to the nation of Fiji with a holistic approach that brings healing to the heart, transformation to the individual, which in turn brings transformation to the villages, communities, and the nation as a whole.
